Janet is currently working with Frontier Holdings as an Accounts Assistant. She is responsible for checking and posting daily transactions, as well as making sure accounts are up to date. Janet also completes monthly cash-flow reports and reconciles accounts. She works closely with the Operations Department and its day to day activities. Janet joined the Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Group in 1995 as an Accounting Assistant for one of its timber processing companies. In 2003, Janet was given the opportunity to work as an Inventory Supervisor where she undertook training under the Sawn Timber Inventory Program and was responsible for new staff training in the Timber Inventory Section.
Janet has worked for four of Rimbunan Hijau's subsidiaries since she joined the Group, which she says has been a great privilege. “It has enabled me to improve my communication skills and I have full confidence in dealing with people from different walks of life. Being able to understand the needs of clients and colleagues has enabled me to perform to the best of my ability in any given tasks.” Janet is currently studying for her Diploma in Business Accounting at the University of PNG – Open Campus, and no doubt will bring more of her skills to the Group.
