RIMBUNAN HIJAU PRESENTS 2ND ANNUAL DONATION TO BAHA

The Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Group, through its charitable arm the RH Foundation, today officially presented a donation of Kina 50,000 to the PNG Business Coalition against HIV & AIDS (BAHA) in support of its ongoing work in the community.

The donation represents the second annual contribution the RH Foundation has made to BAHA since it became a gold member of the organization in 2010. Prior to this, RH was a founding member of BAHA and held platinum membership from 2007 to 2009, during which time it made annual contributions of Kina 200,000.

In a short ceremony at BAHA headquarters Mr. Pia Dometa of the RH Foundation and Janis Eryl M. Jandayan, HIV & AIDS Coordinator at the Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Group, presented a cheque for Kina 50,000 to the General Manager of PNG BAHA, Mrs. Caroline Bunemiga.

The RH Foundation was established by RH (PNG) Group in 2010 in order to focus the company's charitable contributions in the areas of public health, education, sport and community development. In the same year former PNG Prime Minister, Sir Rabbie L Namaliu, was officially inaugurated as the Foundation's first President. The latest donation further reflects Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Group's longstanding commitment to community development in PNG, a commitment which saw the company donate close to K2.4 million towards social and charitable causes between 2006 and 2009.
